Week Six

Marie’s theme: crazy

DSC_7565

“We went by the old apartment one last time and I took some pictures of the girls. I actually was telling Addy to smile for the camera but this is her new look. Yes, I do think it sums up crazy quite well. However in other crazy news, we moved into a new apartment, unpacked and repacked in less than two weeks. In only hours we are headed to the U.S. of A. See you in California tomorrow!”

Sarah’s theme: Shiloh

“This is obviously Shiloh. Crazy. Chasing something. Whining. Shiloh. We heart her though!”

{taken today….because it’s been a crazy week}

New Themes: TBA

Week Five

Soooo…we possibly turned into pumpkins last night.

We obviously didn’t post before midnight!

Sarah’s theme: sky

weekfive

“This is my Northern California sky. I miss it a whole lot sometimes…”

{taken on Saturday, February 2nd around 10:00pm PST}

Marie’s theme: husband

“Pumpkin? Well here is the honest truth – - in the blur of the move, I managed to pack+lose my memory card. Talent, I know. I couldn’t even find it to take a picture of the husband on his 32nd birthday. So here is the second best, the reflection of one sexy fella doing dishes. What could be more handsome than a man doing dishes after a long day?”

Next Week’s Theme:

For Marie: crazy

For Sarah: Shiloh

Week Four

Sarah’s theme: water

weekfour

“In Southern CA we usually have phantom rain…you don’t realize it’s rained until you wake up in the morning and find the ground is wet. Well, the last few weeks we have had a down pour of rain…it’s been fabulous. Perfect for this weeks theme: I actually had my glasses on Saturday morning (near sighted here) and I saw with my very own eyes (shocking) that my party lights in the side yard were catching water and making them drip…obviously.”

{taken on Saturday, January 26th around 9:00am PST)

Marie’s theme: free

DSC_7442

“Oh. my. goodness. It is crazy around here. In the midst of packing to move apartments BEFORE traveling to California for EIGHT weeks, this little munchkin of nineteen months decided to potty train. Seriously, is there anything more free than getting to run around the house like this? I really don’t think so!”

Next Week’s Theme:

For Marie: husband

For Sarah: sky

Week Two

Theme: Happy. Happiness.

DSC_7238

“It has been three days since Sarah left. I know I will see her in a month but it is still so hard to be the one left behind. So thankful I have these two little faces to make me smile even when I don’t feel like it. They are, in every way, happiness to me.”

happy

“It was definitely easier coming home to this goof and 4th, 5th, and 6th Christmases are always a plus in the happy department!”

{taken Sunday, January 13th around 3:00pm PST}

Next Week’s Theme:

For Marie: Hands

For Sarah: Peaceful

December Twenty-First

When you wake up {if you live in California} Sarah will be on her way here. She lives for the airport at 12pm on Saturday EET or 2am on Saturday PST. She flies through Newark and Istanbul before getting to Chisinau around 9pm on Sunday EET/11am on Sunday PST.

We aren’t excited.

Not at all.

We would appreciate your prayers. Mostly for Sarah but I guess for Marie’s patience too.

For Sarah, pray for non-delayed flights, successful connections, baggage arriving and of course keeping a clear mind in the midst of sleep deprived international travel.

Thank you.

See you on the other side!

“A few years ago {2007? 2008?} my mama and I discovered Hallmark’s release of Christmas ornaments during the summer AND fall. We became like kids in a candy shop. I discovered these doors on year two of four. My mama got them for me each year, including the year we missed {using her Ebay skills, I believe}! These are doors of the world and I knew they would come with me to Moldova, without a doubt.”

“We did it. We found a REAL tree and got it home, before DohDoh gets here! I love the different reactions. Oldest thinks it’s amazing and can’t stop touching it even though it is prickly. She most likely learned these behaviors from her mother. Youngest is terrible upset about the strange, huge, green THING disrupting her path from kitchen to bedroom. She most likely learned this type of reaction from her father.”

“I didn’t actually go outside today so this is what you get. I will say that I believe it snowed from Sunday afternoon to this evening without stopping…hence the disappearing bench. DohDoh better get her soon so we can get snowed in together! More snow pictures tomorrow, I promise.”

“Went to Sharkys today…ate salsa straight from the bowl, made me miss my sissy-pants…and then I remembered in less than one week I’ll be leaving to go visit her!”
